Dr Philip DelportPaul is a great teacher and the class is relaxed and fun. Having had his share of back problems he is sympathetic and understands how the spine works. As his chiropractor I am very impressed with the effort he puts into making the class beneficial and a learning experience.I recommend Pilates to my patients as a way of improving strength and flexibility. Paul's class will certainly help all who attend to avoid back problems.

My wife and I have been attending Paul’s Pilates sessions for the last three years. We were looking for a way to take some regular exercise ahead of our annual ski trip and soon discovered that Pilates was perfect for this. We now go every week and definitely feel physically fitter. What has surprised us though is the social aspect of the classes, which we look forward to because we know we will have fun and a laugh as well as exercising every muscle in our body. Paul is a really good teacher with such an easy, affable style, it is impossible not to enjoy his classes.

I joined Paul's classes 3 years ago. I was totally new to pilates and had never even participated in a similar type of exercise previously. I had a long time back problem and was keen to improve my overall flexibility. Paul is amazing and the classes are fun and he takes great care to ensure we all work to own level and that nothing ever hurts!! As a result, my body core strength and flexibility has improved hugely and I started seeing and feeling the results quickly. Importantly, I don't get back ache anymore and I'm really strong! Paul has been brilliant throughout the pandemic and his Zoom classes were fantastic. Since we've been back in the room, he's taken the greatest care with distancing and cleanliness of the mats and equipment etc. Paul also offers flexibility if one occasionally has to miss a class and it's possible to switch to another one during the same week if there is space. I thorough recommend Core Values Pilates. 5 Stars!

I joined Paul's classes over 5 years ago when I retired . I had neck problems at work which my Physio said would disappear if I retired and took up Pilates . They have . Paul is an excellent teacher. His videos each week throughout lockdowns have kept me on track . HIs attention to Covid safety has been great. The facility to swap classes has been very useful recently.

If you are considering trying Pilates then Paul's classes cannot be recommended highly enough. I have been attending his classes for four years having suffered with lower back problems for a long time and I began to see considerable improvement quickly. My overall strength and fitness is now so much better than before I joined his classes. He is a fantastic and caring teacher who takes his time to explain everything clearly. He also takes everyone into consideration individually so that specific issues and abilities are catered for. All of Paul's classes are enjoyable and very friendly and you come away feeling both mentally relaxed and physically energised.

I started doing Pilates about 2 years ago because a physiotherapist advised me to. I found Core Value Pilates on Google and contacted Paul who assessed my flexibility before assigning me to a class at my level. When I started, I was extremely out of shape and found the exercises very difficult to keep up with. However, I noticed that I was able to do more and more as each week progressed. When the pandemic hit, I stopped practicing Pilates and when they resumed (on zoom and later in the studio) I found that I had regressed massively and previous movements that were easy had become difficult for me to carry out. However, by continuing with the Pilates, my flexibility and core strength have really improved and now look forward future sessions eagerly. What I love about Pilates is how good and energetic I feel when I have done a session. Paul is an amazing instructor, because he doesn’t push one to do more than what their body can handle and he explains every exercise, including the muscles they target and the benefits really well and that really helps when doing the exercises. I also find the flexibility in scheduling sessions on different days (when there are available slots) really helpful for my busy schedule. I highly recommend Core Value Pilates!

Paul is a great instructor and classes are always good fun!
Lesley MatthewsI have always been a reluctant participant in fitness classes but I find myself looking forward to Paul's sessions! The class sizes are small enough to enable Paul to give us individual attention and ensure we benefit from the exercises. I had not done Pilates before and I am very pleased with the improvement in my core strength and flexibility. The classes cover a range of abilities and ages. Paul's humour helps to put people at ease and make the classes fun. His explanations and demonstrations are thorough but not complicated. I have enjoyed my first year of Pilates and am looking forward to more!
Tim JonesI was new to Pilates when I started with Core Values Pilates 6 months ago, but I feel I have learned a lot in a short time. I really enjoy the mix of exercises that develop control, strength and range of movement in a relaxed and informal class environment. Paul is an enthusiastic and patient instructor, who demonstrates and talks through each exercise, supporting students of all abilities with options of varying difficulty.
Tracy MorphewPaul is an excellent instructor, in class he always makes you feel welcome and adjusts the level to suit all the people.he has a very good and clear way of explaining what we need to do with our body to make the stretch or move work correctly.since starting pilates with Paul, my body feels more toned and each week i am able to stretch and move more and more.He makes the class fun and never makes you feel like you are unable to complete a move.
Carol JMy husband and I joined Paul's class in February, having never done Pilates before, and we are absolutely loving it. Paul takes time to find out about injuries and illnesses and always makes you aware of exercises that can cause difficulties if done wrongly as well as checking everybody carefully to ensure they are doing it right. The friendly atmosphere makes the class fun as well as being challenging physically.
Sue SmithI’ve suffered with lower back pain for years. I’ve been attending Paul’s class since January and haven’t needed to go to the chiropractor since then. Paul gives his attention to everyone in the class and encourages you to reach your potential at your own pace.
Patrick McconnellI have over the last year suffered with sciatica and have spent a considerable amount of money on Physiotherapy. Since joining Paul's classes my back pain has slowly disappeared and I can now start to do more in terms of Running and other activities. The classes are relaxed and informative. I also now think about posture when spending hours in front of the laptop.I would highly recommend Paul's classes to anyone with any niggling back pain.
Anna JansenAfter 3 years of shoulder pain, and many visits to the osteopath, I joined Paul's Pilates class to build up my muscle strength and try to prevent further pain and injury. Paul has proven to be an excellent teacher, patient, fun and good-humoured, and keeping on challenging us to take us to the next level. I now have full mobility in my shoulder, and have been pain-and-treatment-free for 6 months. I really look forward to my Pilates class and now prioritise it every week, as my body tells me when I have missed a session! Thoroughly recommended.
